Stew's Slop

Posted by Matt

Have you ever wondered what Stew ate for breakfast every morning. Do you stay up late at night and wonder how stew can eat a simple healthy breakfast when he doesn't have time to eat at home or even want to eat first thing in the morning? Well, here is your answer.

Stews Slop
2 cups Quick Oatmeal
2 cups granola or muesli with fruit
10Tbps Brown sugar
1 envelope (1 1/3 cup) dried milk

To eat, mix 1 cup of the slop with 1 1/2 cups boiling water. Let stand for 3 minutes. Enjoy.
This is super easy to prepare as bulk ahead of time, and prepare a serving to take to work. I have a nice electric kettle in the classroom where I can boil water, and mix this up to eat during first period prep.

Mexican and Veggie Pizza

PIZZA Time.

I never got any good at making Mike's pizza dough. Alternatively, I found using the store bought bags of fresh dough (always in the 'natural' sections for whatever reason) work well enough. On the left in this picture is a pizza with some veggies and cheese and pepperoni. Nothing special.

On the right was some killer Mexican pizza. I'll share.

Sauce:
6 tomatillos
2 jalapenos
1/2 bunch of cilantro
salt
pepper
cumin
garlic

Put it in a blender and mix with water or oil if you need a bit more liquid until it is a nice sauce. It also substitutes as a perfect salsa verde with chips. Super simple.

Toppings
1/2 pound Al Pastor
1/2 pound queso fresco
Salsa Verde

I got the Al Pastor from a local mercado. It was pretty thin and I seared it until cooked in a pan with some oil. Then chopped it all up. On the dough, I spread out a layer of the salsa verde, then the chopped meat, and topped with crumbled queso fresco.

After baking both at 400 degree for about 20 minutes, they were done. Super tasty shit right thar.

Tomato Basil Sandwiches

Just wanted to do a couple quick posts here. Nothing too fancy, but all very yummy. Mostly.

This one was yummy.

Grand Central Peasant Loaf (sliced)
Trader Joes Olive Hummus
Garden Tomatoes
Basil
Deli sliced Roast beef
Chips

The quality ingredients make this the best. And mixing the basil with the tomato and the olive hummus will knock your socks off.
